Mr. Lim's father founded Guan Hin Chan in Changloon, which later became known as the current Mini Travel.
During that time, Thailand and China did not have any diplomatic ties, and Thailand was not allowed to import goods from China. Guan Hin Chan took advantage of its geographical location and began reselling goods imported from China to Thailand.
The Prime Minister and the government at the time launched a construction plan for the North-South Malaysia Highway, which led to Guan Hin Chan having to relocate to a new location.
After completing the North-South Malaysia Highway project, Guan Hin Chan seized the opportunity to relocate and founded Mini Travel.
This new beginning marked a transformation of the business into a tourism service center, providing a ONE-STOP TRAVEL SOLUTION.
Mini Travel became a convenient stop for tourists to rest, exchange money, and process cross-border documents required to enter Thailand.
With the rising number of tourists to Thailand, Mr. Lim's family purchased vacant land opposite the Changlun Police Station, and Mini Travel relocated there in May 1986.
Thirteen years later, in 1999, due to continued growth and limited space, Mr. Lim purchased a larger plot 7.2 km from the Malaysia-Thailand border to build a bigger tourism service center.
The construction of the new Mini Travel building began in 2001, and on the first day of the Lunar New Year, February 12th, 2002, the project was completed, marking the official launch of Mini Travel.
On May 1st, 2004, Naluri Aman Duty Free Shop began operations in the building, offering a wide range of duty-free products, including cigarettes, alcohol, chocolates, and perfumes.
Mini Travel continues to evolve with the times, building on its legacy and striving toward a prosperous future.
